Thus, the maximum available slots on TV in a month of 30 days for which the ads would be shown on different media channels were 60 . In case of business daily, the cost of full page ad during weekdays was $\$ 500$ per day. As it was decided to display ad only on weekdays, thus maximum times the ad can be promoted through newspaper in given month was 20 . Due to high popularity of social media, a specific sum was also allocated for the promotion of resort facilities. Cost per ad on selected social media was $\$ 200$, and a maximum of 40 slots were available to display the ad online. Finally, radio was found to be the cheapest mode of promotion channel with an ad slot costing only $\$ 75$. The prime time available slots on radio were restricted to maximum of 35 for given month. The efficacy of promotion campaign was evaluated after a month. One of the measures of evaluating efficacy of campaign was potential customers reached during the campaign period. The advertisement manager set a target of at least reaching 70,000 customers with $2,500,1,200,2,000$ and 500 customers being reached during one time of ad being shown on different media channels of TV, newspaper, online banner ad and radio, respectively. The objective of an advertisement campaign was to increase the awareness level among targeted market. The ad company measured awareness level of ads shown in different media by conducting a survey after the period during which ads were shown. Standardized questions were asked regarding ad recall and ad recognition which was established measures of ad awareness. These questions pertain to each type of media channel and respondents’ score was taken on a scale of ‘ $0-100$ ‘. An average score of these two questions was recorded, which represented awareness level of an ad shown once. The evaluated scores were 70 , 30,55 and 20 for TV, newspaper, online and radio ad, respectively. The manager of company wanted to maximize this awareness level by finding number of times an ad should be shown on a particular media channel.
